Two premises inform my work: archetypes that exist as patterns and shapes in nature, and architecture, which identifies our spaces of existence and interaction. I combine traditional ceramic techniques with concepts found in Modernism and Minimalism to create sculptural wall installations and vessels of porcelain. Finding as much poetics in a minimalist structure as in the nuanced surface of a frozen lake, I seek to convey a moment of confluence where elements of archetype and architecture intersect. My studio-gallery is open to the public and has available pieces on display for sale. Please contact me to inquire about residential or corporate commissions.
