In 2010 the vessel sculpture PRIMARY VESSEL was added to the Museum's PERMANENT COLLECTION through a generous gift by Bruce G. Linderman. In the fall of 2010 PRIMARY VESSEL was featured in the exhibition CREATING AND COLLECTING in the Museum's new addition the Bloch Building.

In October 2010 the MMAA purchased the wall piece BLACK ARCH, with funds generously given by John and Ruth Huss, and added it to the Museum's PERMANENT COLLECTION. BLACK ARCH was featured in the MMAA's exhibition in CERAMICS THEN/CERAMICS NOW in 2010 at the St. Paul Academy.

The ceramic collection of David and Louise Rosenfield currently contains 1,517 works by 344 artists. Five of my pots included range from soda- and wood-fired pieces to electric fired works.

THE VASE AND BEYOND: In 2010 ceramic connoisseur Sidney Swidler gave his encyclopedic collection of 20th-century ceramics, comprised of nearly 800 selections by more than 300 artists to the Crocker Art Museum. VASE, 2001, soda-fired porcelain, is now in the Museum's PERMANENT COLLECTION.
